Super-C

If you care about your RV, Car, or Boat it’s very important to ceramic coat it to protect it from the elements

From Dull to Dazzling: A Super-C Motorhome Transformation

This Super-C Motorhome underwent a remarkable paint correction and ceramic coating process by Fiberglass Worx. The transformation was nothing short of spectacular, bringing back the shine and protection it deserved. Here’s a detailed look at the steps we took to achieve these stunning results.

Here’s What We Did

When this Super-C Motorhome arrived at our facility, it was clear that it needed a thorough paint correction and ceramic coating. The exterior had lost its luster, and the overall appearance was far from its prime. Our team took on the challenge and meticulously worked through each step to restore its shine and protection.

Step 1: Washing the RV Roof and Appliances

We started by thoroughly washing the RV roof and all roof appliances. This step is crucial to remove any dirt, grime, and contaminants that could affect the subsequent processes.

Step 2: Protecting the RV Roof with UV Protectant

Next, we applied a roof UV protectant to prevent degradation and discoloration from UV rays. This not only protects the roof but also helps keep the RV cooler.

Step 3: Foam Soak for the Complete Exterior

We then performed a full exterior foam soak to remove contaminants. This step ensures that the surface is clean and ready for the next stages of the process.

Step 4: Washing the Complete Exterior

After the foam soak, we washed the entire exterior of the RV. This thorough cleaning removes any remaining dirt and grime, providing a clean slate for the paint correction.

Step 5: Cleaning All Windows

We cleaned all the windows to ensure they were spotless and streak-free, enhancing the overall appearance of the RV.

Step 6: Cleaning All Exterior Trim

Next, we cleaned all the exterior trim to remove any dirt and contaminants, ensuring a pristine finish.

Step 7: Taping Off Decals, Trim, and Molding

We carefully taped off the decals, trim, and molding to protect them during the paint correction process. This step is essential to ensure that only the intended areas are treated.

Step 8: 2-Stage Compound & Polish

We employed a 2-stage compound and polish process to restore the shine of the RV. This step involves using progressively finer compounds and polishes to remove imperfections and bring back the luster.

Step 9: Surface Prep for the Complete Exterior

After polishing, we prepped the entire exterior surface to remove any residue and polishing oils. This step ensures that the surface is clean and ready for the ceramic coating.

Step 10: Removing All Masking Tape

We then removed all the masking tape, revealing the freshly polished and prepped surface.

Step 11: Applying Ceramic Coating

The final step was to apply Glidecoat Alpha Graphene X Ceramic Coating to the entire exterior. This high-quality ceramic coating provides superior protection against UV rays, oxidation, and environmental contaminants, ensuring a long-lasting shine.

Step 12: Detailing and Cleaning

To complete the process, we detailed and cleaned the windows, wheels, and tires, and applied tire shine for a finishing touch.

The End Results!

The transformation was truly remarkable. The Super-C Motorhome now boasts a glossy, vibrant exterior that looks as good as new. The paint correction restored its shine, and the ceramic coating added an extra layer of protection and brilliance. Our comprehensive process has given this motorhome a new lease on life, ready for many more adventures on the road.
